How to Optimize SQL Queries for Large Datasets in Python?
-
Hi everyone,
I’m working on a Python project that involves processing large datasets from a MySQL database. Currently, I’m using SQLAlchemy to interact with the database, but I’ve noticed performance issues when running queries on tables with millions of rows. What are some best practices or techniques to optimize SQL queries for handling large datasets in Python? Should I be using indexing, pagination, or batch processing? I’m also considering using raw SQL queries instead of ORM in some cases, but I’m not sure if that would help with performance.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
