A buyer disputed their Cash App payment with their bank for services that I completed. Cash App told me that they are required to return the money to the buyer when the transaction is disputed with the buyers bank. Can anyone help?Reputable Merchant Services, a service that accepts cards like MasterCard and Visa would NEVER have processed the dispute as youโve described how CashApp did. What would they have done differently? They wouldโve advised you of the dispute and you wouldโve had a certain period of time to provide evidence that the dispute was not valid.
This may be CashAppโs policy โthey are required to return the money to the buyer when the transaction is disputed with the buyerโs bankโ. But itโs caca. As a buyer Iโd be thrilled. As a seller Iโd NEVER do business with them.
A โmore usualโ policy would be โthe sellerโs credit services, in this case CashAppโ would be required to provide proof to the buyerโs credit card company that the buyerโs dispute was invalid or untrue.
Iโd suggest that you contact CashApp again and ask to speak with a supervisor or manager. Ask for an explanation of their โroll over and play deadโ policy (donโt use those words or say anything antagonist). When you donโt get the answer you want ask for the next manager up. Stay professional, calm but assertive. Stand firm. Know if itโs time to fire CashApp. Good luck!
