Cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cell therapy represents a promising approach to cancer immunotherapy. CIK cells are a heterogeneous population comprising T cells, T-natural killer (NK) cells, and a minor fraction of NK cells that exhibit potent cytotoxic activity against tumor cells.
